Teachers


Rebecca Bonthron

Rebecca has been with the Deborah Coultish School of Dance since 2002. Since then she has performed in all productions often taking on lead roles. She has achieved RAD Grade 8 Ballet with Distinction and IDTA Freestyle Gold with the highest mark the school has ever achieved. She also holds the IDTA Diploma in Anatomy.

Rebecca teaches Zumba Fitness at Alwoodley and East Ardsley and Street Level at Alwoodley. She also covers other classes when required.

Lucy Burke

Lucy is currently studying for a HND in Performing Arts (Dance) at Wakefield College. This will then turn into a full degree with a top up year.

She gained a BTEC First Diploma and NVQ Level 2 in Early Years. She has a BTEC National Diploma in Performing Arts.

She has extensive qualifications from BBO (British Ballet Organization) in Ballet and Tap and IDTA freestyle.

She has gained a great deal of experience and developed skills in many activities including swimming, gymnastics and water sports. As a result she has an array of awards.

Lucy teaches Street Level on Tuesdays at Colton

 

Kirstie Devlin

Kirstie started dancing at the age of 8 at West Yorkshire Theatre dance centre. There she is gaining her teaching qualifications for her associates in IDTA.

She has recently completed the Certificate for ballet teaching studies course for the RAD.

She has been teaching for the past 5 years as a freelance dance teacher and also teaches in primary schools in Wakefield and care homes for disabled people. Kirstie has also gained 3 scholarships in Ballet for the RAD and IDTA whilst training.

Kirstie teaches Street Level on Mondays at Woodlesford.
